If you’re a regular reader of the Arcweb blog there’s a good chance you know that our team is growing—fast. And that means we have a bunch of new team members to introduce! But in an effort to make these sorts announcements a little more interesting than a basic resume regurgitation, we’re unveiling a new feature: 20 Questions with an Arcweber. First up, our newest project manager, Joy Barnosky….

Full name?
Joy Margaret Barnosky.

Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever really have had one. “Joy” is pretty short as is.

Title and role at Arcweb?
I’m a project manager. Basically that means I, along with our other PMs, manage customer project work from inception to completion. That includes budget, timeline and scope oversight. Think of it as the medium between our customers and the Arcweb team.

Where do you live?
Jefferson Square in South Philadelphia.

What’s your tech setup?
I run a MacBook Air with secondary monitor.

Who is your personal hero and why?
My mom. After my dad passed away when I was a teenager, she raised me as a single mom and she did a phenomenal job filling the role of two parents. And now that I am a mom I realize how incredibly tough that must have been and how selfless she has been throughout my life. She was born to be a mom. She’s the best! E.V.E.R.

What was the last restaurant you went to and what did you have?
Bridget Foy’s on South Street. Blood orange margarita and fish tacos. It was Cinco De Mayo.

You get one last beverage for the rest of your life. What is it?
That’s a tough choice between water and an IPA…

What do you love most about working at Arcweb so far?
EVERYTHING! The projects, people, and the culture.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?
I can’t believe I am publically admitting this. But typically the guilty pleasure shows include anything with a “housewife” in the title or unsupervised teenagers that happen to have supernatural powers or have the tendency to become mythical creatures (i.e., vampires, werewolves). I should be ashamed of myself… but I’m not!

What’s your weekday wake up time?
6:00 a.m…. if my kids are kind.

When you’re not Arcwebing, you’re doing what?
Running. Spending time with my friends and family (husband Steve, daughter Emerson and son Morgan). And traveling. Definitely traveling.

What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?
Europe. Costa Rica.

Have any pets?
Carmine the cat.

What was your first job?

You get an all expenses paid two week vacation. Where are you going?
Anywhere with a great beach!

Who’s your favorite Philadelphian of all time?
All time?!?! Hmm… I have three: Grace Kelly, Tina Fey, and Bill Cosby.

Favorite brand and why?
Again, more than one. Anthropologie, Banana Republic and Patagonia are at the top of the list. And of course Apple.

Spring or Fall? Why?
Spring. The flowers are in bloom, the leaves are back on the trees… the city seems to come alive again. And you can spend more time outside in the warmer weather.

Have you ever had a supernatural experience?
No. And that is OK!

And that, intrepid Arcweb blog readers, is our own Joy Barnosky. If you want to learn more—particularly about what Joy does here at Arcweb—drop her a line.
